____¿What exactly is The Survivalist? It is an educational site dedicated to helping those who wish to learn general disaster (man made or natural) skills in an easy-to-use format. Whether it’s “just” a little earthquake or WWIII, we hope to be either THE reference manual, or in partnership with several other website a clearing house for others.____I have the dubious distinction of having survived Hurricane Katrina, with little more than cold, wet feet. Shortly after that, however, I witnessed rampaging throngs that I likened, at the time, to the horde outside the mall in Dawn Of The Dead (the 2ØØ4 version). Combined with my experiences in the Coast Guard, I started wondering WHY people seem to loose their heads in the face of relatively minor disasters, making something relatively minor into a major, full-blown local apocalypse. After reviewing what evidence still existed (most notably the scathing report on Katrina), I resolved to create a learning environment to help others save themselves, for as the saying goes, “God saves those who save themselves first.”

__¿Does Mike HUCKABEE owe OBAMA an apology over certain comments recently, including allegations that he grew up in Kenya in a madrassa?
__Let’s be clear. Let’s be honest. __Ever since BUSH Jr. won his second term, the Democrats have been on a smear campaign of their OWN, going after anything even wafting of Republicanism; Let us not forget (not forgive) their blatant attempt to smear an honorable member of our armed forces, General David PETRAEUS, by very pointedly accusing him of “cooking the books for the White House.” __Now a man who’s loyalty has always been against the United States (OBAMA) is being pestered (rather than pointedly accused) with allegations of questionable loyalty, ¿and suddenly it’s racist? __Talk about hypocrisy. |

Recently, CNN showed a video of a helicopter landing, purporting it to be a “Libyan Army Helicopter putting troops on the ground.”
It was all well and good show the video and say they were doing this or that (you really couldn’t see what they were doing), but there was one major problem with the claim- It was a CH-46 Sea Knight. Now that WAS interesting- There is no way the Libyan Army can get US Militry hardware. In a story I broke at Free Student Press (http://freestudentpress.wetpaint.com/), I am accusing the Terrorist OBAMA of putting either US Militry personnel or international mercenaries on the ground in Libya to stir up trouble, most probably posing as those in the employ of GADDAFI. ¿How “wagging the dog” now? ¿Who’s the REAL terrorist? BUSH toppled a vicious dictator and unwittingly unleashed a civil war; But HUSSIEN was a rogue agent who threatened Isræl and Iran with nuclear war; Iran is developing nuclear weaps, and OBAMA is ignoring it. But Libya, who surrendered their nuclear program years ago, is the focus of OBAMA’S wish to cash in on a militry retirement (as “Commander in Chief” he would be eligible, were he actually elected). It’s a simple scam- Create a crisis in some country that Americans don’t care about (or, in this case, better still hate), then use that as justification for use of militry forces. |

____You don’t have to believe me. You don’t even ‘have’ to hear me out. There’s the back button, it’s your right to hit it now.
____There is a storm coming (“storm” is shorthand for a mega-disaster, a global disaster, probably from the biblical story of Noah). You need to be prepared; Whether you make peace with your deitific figurehead or whatever, that’s up to you and I really don’t give a ****. I mean LITTERALLY prepared. ____Consider this; Another man once warned those he cared about (well, not really “cared” about, just neighbors) that a flood was coming; They scoffed at “that drunkard” until the day the flood DID come; They all died. He survived. (And before you ask, no it’s NOT the Noah story again, it’s actually the story of Issac BROWN and the village of Eola, OR. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~orpionpr/Eola.htm.) ____It’s kinda like the world is TRY to kill us all, and Mother Nature IS do exactly that now. Maybe she wants us to “leave the nest,” maybe she just wants us all to DIE, but we need to start preparing. ____There IS hope. We don’t “have” to die. Think of it like unto the Y2K scare; If you prepared for that, you know already what to do, with one critical shortage; Be ready (“Semper Paratus”) for bad weather, earthquakes, and viral outbreaks (think The Outer Limits “Vaccine,” but without the too hot Maria Conchita ALONSO). ____Ok, yes, get “a” gun, but that’s the smallest thing; The last thing you actually need. Get unpowered hand tools, get some basic construction skills, and begin learning how to escape your city/town/village/etc. Build barricade materials (you might be surprised how much barricading you can get out of a couple of strategically placed shelves and couches) and stockpile a month’s worth of food and water in your home. |

____Kevin’s Law is named for Kevin KOWALCYK, who died in 2ØØ1 after eating a hamburger contaminated with E. coli. It would allow the US FDA to shut down cattle ranches that do not pass safety standards; The industry has been systemically suppressing it since 2ØØ3 by getting it sent to committee, then getting it “tabled” (set aside without acting).
____I propose a push for this law (I am aware not all members are American, and that’s kinda the point; a little international pressure will not hurt the effort any). ____Please consider it. |

I've been gone for a long time now, but I'm back. the end. Is there any information our viewers would like to see added to the site? I've thought about adding information on Panic rooms upsides, downsides and just general information. My in-laws are adding one to their house in the near future.
